I don't understand what that reference thing means.. I googled it but I still don't understand, sorry about my stupidity :/

Reference is when you say or quote something from another source.

If I said "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee" that would be a Skyrim reference because the phrase is from skyrim.

Whats not to get?
