8-bit music would have to have an 8-bit Digital-to-Analog converter. There's nothing to do with dimentions here.

It's just a generalization to make things easy to categorize. I know i'm wrong :(

For instance, 8-bit music. It rarely is, in fact, 8-bit.

it would be hard to make two-dimentional music. in reality, music travels through three dimentions, but I consider music itssellf a separate dimention. the 6th dimention, in my mind, is sound.
